Terre Haute – How to clean up and beautify the city. That was the topic of discussion during a public forum. The host was Terre Haute businessman and mayoral candidate Pat Goodwin.

A good crowd greeted Goodwin at the Vigo County Public library. Goodwin talked about litter, abandoned properties, collecting leaves and fixing street lights. Residents shared ideas with Goodwin and he stressed the importance of community involvement to make the city better.

“The first thing to do as a citizen is step up and do what you can. Government can’t fix everything for you and so take the steps you can take to make a difference,” said Goodwin.
